Bivo Support International
Bivocational Ministry International Summit (2019)
About the conference
Many Ministers (Pastors/Priests/Evangelists/Missionaries etc) and Ministry Leaders across church traditions are fulfilling their call to ministry at the same time as having another vocation (work / enterprise) outside of ministry. It is estimated that in the US, about 1 in 3 pastors are bivocational ministers. Like in the US, the number of bivocational ministers is increasing in the UK and the world over. Bivocational Ministry, therefore, continues to make a significant impact for God's Kingdom in the UK. This ministry approach has not really given the attention it deserves. Those who serve bivocationally in different denominations, churches and ministries are usually forgotten and do not receive worthy recognition, encouragement and support. To respond to this situation, Bivo Support UK is launching this annual event, a first of its kind in the UK to:
-
Celebrate Bivocational Ministry and bivocational ministers
-
Champion and encourage the men and women who dedicate their lives to serve God and others bivocatinally
-
Create a platform for and to promote networking and cohesion of bivocational ministers and their counterparts (those ministers who are able to devote all their time to ministry)
-
Promote and share research in the area (or related) of Bivocational Ministry
-
A platform for ministers to worship together (Friday Refresh Conference) outside of their usual ministry setting and participate in learning and development (through out the Saturday)
Who is the conference for
While the focus of the conference is on Bivocational Ministry, the conference is for Ministers, their spouses, Ministry Leaders, Bible College Students, Academics, Denominational Leaders. The program is designed that all delegates will find it relevant and inspiring. Please select the appropriate page on the menu to view the program, the conference presenters and to purchase tickets for this event.
The conference brings together presenters from various ministry backgrounds and denominations with a wealth of knowledge and experience in areas, which include bivocational ministry, church planting, clergy health and well being, academia, research and ministry leadership training and development. The selection of speakers has been organised to ensure that delegates receive a wide base of input. In addition to other areas of experience, all the speakers have first-hand experience of leading churches. This will enable their participation at the conference to connect with those delegates who are ministry practitioners.
